Northeast PowerDry received a call from a homeowner in Newton, New Jersey, regarding a broken radiator pipe that occurred in the attic. This has caused damage to 4 rooms in the property. The sheetrock, baseboard, trim, wallpaper, rubber mats, ceiling tiles, insulation, mirrors attached to the walls, hardwood floor, rubber mats used as cove, gym equipment, and furniture contents were affected. NEPD project manager, James O’Connell, immediately arrived on-site and communicated the best course of action to the customer.

Moisture readings were taken, and our crews removed the insulation and hardwood floor for proper drying. Furthermore, the carpet was extracted, unsalvageable materials were removed, and containment was set up in the garage for faster drying.

After that was completed, 18 air movers, 4 dehumidifiers, 1 hardwood machine, 1 inject dry, 1 etes, and 1 air scrubber was used to dry the property.
