In Milltown, New Jersey, a homeowner experienced a main sewer line backup in their unfinished basement that caused standing sewer water to be present in the central area of the basement and the bathroom. The cement floors, walls, stairs, and carpeting were affected. When our experienced project manager, Michele, arrived at the residence, she inspected the damage and determined the most effective course of action. The area was steam cleaned and thoroughly disinfected. Due to the sewage contamination, the carpeting was removed in one of the rooms. 8 air movers, 2 dehumidifiers, and 1 air scrubber were installed to dry the home in just 3 days.
