Our coordinator Devin received a call from a tenant in Caldwell, NJ that had water in their basement.  We quickly sent Michael out to the residence to inspect the damage.  Upon arrival, he discovered a broken pipe leading to the outside of the home.  The basement water was extracted by the tenants but the floors needed to be dried under the tile.  The tenants moved the contents and the cleanup began with 9 fans and 1 dehumidifier.

Mr. Joel Graham noticed his basement was flooded with water determined by the plumber as a water heater burst. After the 3-day monitor everything was completely dry in a timely manner much to the customer's satisfaction who can enjoy a completely dry basement.

Flooded Basement in Maplewood, NJ

During a period of heavy rain, a concerned homeowner in Maplewood, New Jersey, was referred to Northeast Power Dry regarding groundwater that flooded the basement room, leaving approximately 2-3 inches of standing water. 2 days prior to the incident, a plumber completed sewer line work at the residence where access to underground pipes was uncovered. When our project manager, Christopher, arrived on site, immediate action was taken to remove the water, clean the area, completely dry the basement, and restore the home.

The standing water was extracted from the basement using a pump that transferred the groundwater to the outdoor drainage system. Once the water was cleared, the crew removed about 2 feet of damaged paneling along the outer basement walls to ensure that no further complications of mold would result from this incident. Proceeding, after the area was cleaned, the crew was able to install 13 air movers, 1 dehumidifier, and 1 air scrubber. The drainage and setup process took a total of 4 hours and the area was fully dry within only 4 days! The customer requested to keep our sump pump for an extra day until the one in the home was replaced.
