A home in Long Valley, New Jersey, suffered from a broken drain line under the kitchen sink. This pipe burst caused approximately 2 inches of sludge-like material to fill the unfinished basement and affect the concrete flooring, classifying as a category 3 loss. Being a rental property, the customer was distraught by the situation.
Our experienced project manager, Scott Upshaw, arrived at the residence, he inspected the area and explained the scope of work to the customer. He then met the landlord off-site for the landlord’s convenience. Scott personally called the insurance company and filed a claim to cover the cost of the job. A crew arrived on site right away and extracted the sewage, steam cleaned the area to fully disinfect it, and installed 4 air movers, 1 air scrubber, and 1 dehumidifier to dry the property. Within only 3 days, the basement was restored and the customer was extremely satisfied with our services!
