Why did the customer contact us?

Northeast Power Dry received a call from an elderly homeowner in Madison, New Jersey, regarding a bathtub overflow that caused water to damage the partially finished basement. The flood occurred due to blockage in the drainpipe and had been happening for about a week. The VCT floor, paneling, sheetrock, baseboards, and concrete materials were damaged, along with some of the homeowner’s personal belongings. The homeowner needed assistance in effectively restoring her property.

Solutions Provided:

When Northeast Power Dry project manager, Adam Steig, arrived at the residence, he communicated directly with the customer to come up with the most effective course of action. Adam coordinated communication with the homeowner’s insurance company to ensure coverage of the scope of work that needed to be completed. Adam discovered that since the overflow was a result of a pipe blockage, that the mitigation work would be fully covered through the insurance claim. Technicians then installed 24 air movers, 2 dehumidifiers, and 2 air scrubbers to dry the basement properly. After only 4 days, the property was restored, and all equipment was retrieved
