Why did the customer contact us?

A homeowner in Morris Plains, New Jersey, experienced a pipe burst in the wall of the finished basement. The leak occurred a few weeks prior to when the homeowner noticed the damage. Water slowly seeped through the drywall and onto the basement carpeting. Due to the extent of time that moisture was present, black mold had begun to develop on the bottom half of the walls. The homeowner needed our assistance in drying out their property and removing the microbial substance in the space.

Solutions Provided:

When Northeast Power Dry project manager, Scott Upshaw, arrived at the residence, he thoroughly inspected the damage. He determined that all damp materials needed to be removed from the space due to the amount of time they have been soaking up the water. Scott communicated the full scope of work to the customer. Once all damaged materials were removed and the area was cleaned, technicians installed drying equipment. Using 1 air mover and 1 dehumidifier, the home was dry in 3 days
