Location:Summit, NJ

Why did the customer contact us?

Northeast PowerDry received a call from a homeowner in Summit, New Jersey, regarding a water heater expansion tank burst in the finished basement of the home. The drywall, framing, concrete, trim, and padding materials were affected throughout 3 rooms. The homeowner required assistance to dry the saturated materials and restore the property.

Solutions Provided:

When Northeast Power Dry project manager, Mike Kowal, arrived at the residence, he thoroughly inspected the damage and communicated the most effective course of action with the customer. The standing water was extracted from the carpet and padding using a rover machine, salvaging the materials. The baseboard materials were extensively damaged and needed removal. Technicians then installed 1 dehumidifier, 1 injectidry, 1 air scrubber, and 13 air movers to dry the home completely. The air scrubber was needed because both the homeowner and her daughter have asthma. After only 4 days, the house was dry, and all equipment was retrieved.
