Northeast PowerDry received a call from a homeowner in Belle Mead, New Jersey, regarding a sink overflow that occurred in the first-floor bathroom. The homeowner’s pet cat opened the tap of the sink, and the water ran throughout the night. Water seeped through the floor and walls of the bathroom and affected the finished basement below. The carpet, padding, tile, baseboard, cabinets, and sheetrock materials were damaged throughout 2 levels of the home. The homeowner needed assistance in restoring their property correctly.

Solutions Provided:

Northeast PowerDry Project Manager, Adam Steig, arrived at the residence within an hour of receiving the call. Upon his arrival, Adam inspected the situation and detected elevated moisture readings in the bathroom and basement. With the customer, Adam determined the most effective course of action for drying the home. Technicians installed 18 air movers, 2 dehumidifiers, and 1 small injectidry machine to circulate airflow and restore the wet materials. After only 4 days, the home was completely dry.
