Leak in Finished Basement

Job completed for Leak in Finished Basement

Completion date: 2019-12-19

Location:Flanders, NJ

Why did the customer contact us?

At a home in Flanders, New Jersey, a finishing nail punctured a pinhole-sized crack in a water pipe, causing a leak in the partially finished basement. Water was coming out of the pipe non-stop for about 30 minutes. The hardwood, softwood, and carpet materials were affected throughout the home. The customer attempted to dry the wet materials themselves using a vacuum. To ensure effective drying techniques, the homeowner called Northeast Power Dry to complete the job.

Solutions Provided:

When Northeast Power Dry project manager, Scott Upshaw, arrived at the residence, he inspected the damage thoroughly. Scott spoke directly with the customer about filing an insurance claim and the full scope of work that needed to be completed. Scott determined that the equipment required to dry the home was 6 air movers, 2 dehumidifiers, and 1 hardwood floor machine. Technicians then installed the equipment, and in just 3 days, the house was dry!
