Why did the customer contact us?

Northeast PowerDry received a call from a homeowner in Colonia, New Jersey, regarding a toilet backup that occurred in the second-floor bathroom of the home. The paneled walls in the bathroom were damaged due to the leak. Water seeped through the floor of the second-floor bathroom, affecting the drywall on the ceiling and behind the toilet of the first-floor washroom. The loss was classified as a category 3 incident, meaning that the water from the backup was contaminated with sewage. All wet materials needed to be removed from the home in order to avoid future complications. The homeowner needed immediate assistance in restoring their property.

Solutions Provided:

Northeast Power Dry project manager, Christopher Penrose, arrived at the residence to resolve the situation. After the areas were thoroughly inspected, Christopher determined the most effective course of action to dry the home and communicated directly with the customer. Once the sewer water was extracted, technicians strategically removed all unsalvageable materials and steam clean sanitized the area. 7 air movers, 2 dehumidifiers, and 1 air scrubber were set up to dry the property and filter the air. After only 4 days, the home was restored and all equipment was retrieved.
