Completion date: 2019-06-25

Location:Millington, NJ

Why did the customer contact us?

A homeowner in Millington, New Jersey, suffered from a hot water heater leak in their unfinished basement. The vinyl tile flooring and concrete walls have been affected. The flooring has suffered some damage, as the homeowner noticed that the water seeped underneath the tiles, causing the gluing to lift. Additionally, the area began to smell. The homeowner was unsettled by this incident and unaware of the extent of damage to his home. The customer called Northeast Power Dry, knowing that we would be able to take on the challenge and restore the property.

Solutions Provided:

When our project manager, Scott Upshaw, arrived at the residence, he surveyed the area and inspected the materials affected. He thoroughly explained and discussed the scope of work with the customer. Scott assured the homeowner that the insurance company would cover the full cost of the work. Scott then personally called the insurance company and set up the claim because the customer was not familiar with how to do so. A crew of Northeast Power Dry technicians then began the work right away, installing 10 air movers, 1 dehumidifier, and 1 air scrubber to dry the basement completely. The homeowner was grateful that the crew was able to begin the work immediately.
