Job completed for Broken Ice Maker Line

Northeast PowerDry received a call regarding a pipe line break. The pipe break came from a cracked ice maker water line from the refrigerator. The break caused water damage to the basement, as well as damage to 5 other rooms in the home. The tile, base molding, sheetrock, concrete, and carpet were all affected. The main concern that the customer had was that the break occurred after the sale of the unit before the new buyer had moved in. This caused the homeowner to experience confusion with the situation on how to deal with homeowner’s insurance.

Project Manager, Adam, drove to personally meet with the customer. Adam was able to assist the customer by working directly with the insurance company. If Northeast PowerDry was not at the scene, those issues would not have been attended to and could have potentially caused further complications in the future. Once the damaged materials were precisely removed from the home, and the water was extracted, the area was cleaned. Two Northeast PowerDry technicians then installed 10 air movers and 2 dehumidifiers in order to successfully dry the affected areas. After only 3 days, the home was dry and the equipment was picked up! The customer was extremely grateful, as this was a complicated and devastating situation.
